Is there something you’ve always wanted to try but have been afraid to do?
Maybe it’s something as simple as learning to ice skate. Maybe it’s starting your own business, changing careers, going back to school, or finally putting yourself first.
Whatever it is, putting yourself out there can feel terrifying.
Our minds immediately jump to the worst-case scenario.

Embarrassment.
Self-doubt.
Judgment.
Disappointment.

We tell ourselves that staying where we are is less painful than risking failure.

Now ask yourself a different question.
What if you succeed?
What opportunities are waiting for you on the other side of fear? What confidence might you gain? What relationships could you build? What joy could you experience? What version of yourself have you not met yet because fear has been making the decisions?
Growth rarely happens inside our comfort zones.
Will everything work out exactly as planned? Probably not. But even when things don’t go the way we hoped, we learn. We adapt. We become stronger. Every attempt teaches us something we didn’t know before.
Failure isn’t the opposite of success—it’s often part of the path to success.
So today, instead of asking yourself, “What if I fail?” try asking, “What if this works?”
Because the life you’ve been imagining might be waiting just outside the comfort zone you’ve been protecting..
